Meet Julie:
Trauma-informed therapist for adults in Ontario
Hi there, I’m Julie (she/her), a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist with eight years of experience helping individuals and families.
I’m passionate about supporting adults who are figuring things out and looking for more direction in their lives. Whether you're working through past wounds, facing challenges in your relationships, or trying to reconnect with your true self, I’m here to help. Together, we’ll address obstacles, uncover your strengths, and create a path forward that aligns with the person you want to be.
A key focus of my work is helping individuals heal from trauma and its lasting effects. We’ll explore how early experiences may have shaped your beliefs, behaviours, and relationships, and how they continue to impact you today. Whether you're dealing with the weight of past or present experiences, we’ll work together to find strategies and support that help you heal and move forward.
My Approach to Therapy
My own journey with mental health has deeply influenced my approach to therapy. It’s given me a strong understanding of the struggles many people face, and it’s why I’m dedicated to offering compassionate and effective support.
I aim to create a space where you feel safe and supported as you explore your story. Together, we’ll work through what’s going on, find healthy ways to cope, and help you grow. This journey is all about helping you feel hopeful and stronger for a brighter future.
I approach therapy with empathy, respect, and teamwork. I use proven methods and tailor our sessions to fit your unique needs and goals. We’ll focus on building from your strengths and understanding your past experiences to guide our work, while not forgetting to celebrate your progress throughout your journey!
